I always wonder whether god needs a temple to reside, considering that he made this vast universe. If he needed he could reside anywhere in the universe any place of his choice and any type of temple he could build himself. So why do people build temples for gods to reside?
The issue is the amount of temples, churches and mosques that are being built has not being able to heal people in any way. More and more houses for gods are being built but the problems mankind is facing has become more intense.
One answer to why people build Churches, temples instead of Hospitals is very simple. The main reason is that they fear for gods. They try to make Gods happy more than anyone else in their life. Sometimes, people spend their breadwinners money to make gods happy and do nothing to make the breadwinner happy. They think by feeding (by way of alms giving or offerings), by building churches or by building statues, one can make gods happy.
For some people its redundancy, in case if science fails. Some people believe gods can cure and doctors can't. For instance Jehovah's witnesses never transfuse blood. Even if that means their death. So no wonder cults like them never building hospitals but Churches and worship houses.
The sad part is clergies, religious leaders, priests and reverends never ask their followers to build Hospitals instead of Churches, temples and mosques. They will always say building a house for god is the best deed one can do in their life.
Most countries in developing world lack medical facilities, including medication and access to proper doctors. Millions dies due to both communicable and non communicable deceases. But missions in Asia and Africa is busy building churches and mosques.
Romania being the poorest countries in EU, building more than 10 churches every month. Its estimated more than 3500 new churches are opening up in the world every week. Nearly the same amount of Muslim worship placed gets opened every week. India alone opens up nearly 1000 new temples weekly. But sadly, do you know during the year 2016, there were 29000 hospitals were closed down while only 26456 hospitals were opened ?
So the question is, in an era where cost of medical facilities are going up and deceases spread faster shouldn't we be focusing on building more hospitals than Churches or other worship places? After all its not temples or churches that heal you but hospitals. Its not churches that save the lives or dying children but hospitals.
